Most are supplied crystal clear, in virgin plastic ready for paint, although Traxxas do also offer a small range of pre-painted and finished shells as a no-fuss direct replacement for Kit builds or RTR vehicles. Here at MIBI we offer a wide range of both direct replacement and alternative Traxxas RC Car Bodyshells. Hard bodies weight considerably more so tend to be only fitted to non-performance Scale Replica vehicles. The body is then often finished with Decals, and if supplied, additional detailing items. Injection Moulded Traxxas RC Car Bodyshells are painted externally, first being Primed and then Top Coated with your chosen Colour and then a protective layer of Lacquer. Vacuum Formed Traxxas RC Bodies are painted internally, using a Polycarbonate/Lexan compatible paint, and then finished externally, often with just Decals, but sometimes additional Injection Moulded detail items like Wing Mirrors, a Grille, Windscreen Wipers and Spoilers. Both have their place and used in the industry. RC Car Bodyshells fall into two main categories: - The Vacuum Formed Polycarbonate/Lexan RC Bodyshell or Hard Injection Moulded RC Bodyshells, most often made from Styrene. They protect the chassis and its components and combined with wheels and tyres, create the overall 'look' of the car itself. They range in size from Nano and Micro Class RC Cars, right up to 1/5th Large Scale RC Cars. It defines the type and genre, and the aesthetics faithfully reproduced that vehicle in often photorealistic accuracy. Each package includes window mask, new F2 specific decal sheet, two rear spoiler options and mounting hardware. The RC bodyshell is the finishing touch to any RC Car build or RTR vehicle. The spoilers are durable and with proper trimming and included hardware bolt directly to the back of the new shell. The F2 includes two spoilers, one for high-bite conditions and another taller version for low or medium bite conditions. The tail of the body has been lowered with an upper and lower transition making the rear a more durable piece even with light-weight materials. The new body includes the traditional Finnisher “V step-downs” in the bed area which makes it identifiable to the savvy racer. The popular side-window treatment has been once again incorporated into the design for maximum coverage. Protecting the front shock tower area is done with a traditional shape but contains new louver positioning and available air-release features located just in front of the main cab. The narrower front-end appears on-point and with an all-new grille and headlight layout with four included grille options. One of the key features is an arrow based design where the front is much narrower than the rear. The F2 body has been a trend setting design since its release on the buggy population and now, Traxxas Rustler drivers can drop-on a race favourite design to their bash vehicle of choice. JConcepts have introduced their new F2 body shell for the Traxxas Rustler VXL and XL-5 trucks. DecemJConcepts F2 Rustler truck body shell
